Because the world of risk is constantly evolving, our complete menu of services and constant vigilance ensure that your alternative risk financing efforts remain true to your objectives and goals.
At TMG, we understand that independent captive management sometimes requires constant adjustment with a keen understanding of regulatory compliance and administrative tasks. We provide this and more – all with complete independence. Towner Management’s captive services are designed to meet the needs of any captive. They include:
- An ongoing needs analysis – We'll make sure your solutions are flexible when cash flow, capital requirements, exposures and insurance needs change. Once established, we'll continue to walk you through potential program solutions annually, whether your structure is a single-parent, association, group or rent-a-captive, including segregated cell companies and separate accounts.
- Comprehensive administrative services – When captives are formed, they need to regularly monitor financial projections, cost-benefit analysis, applications, captive board by-laws and a host of other administrative duties. Count on us to review these and other documents, revise them as needed and provide full accounting and recordkeeping services. We will also organize your captive's board meetings, providing comprehensive meeting binders that facilitate and expedite your decision-making process.
- Full third-party administration – Depending on your program’s size and scope, you may need to integrate the efforts of consultants, auditors, financial sources and other professionals. Whether you have a turn-key program with us that has all of these services included or you use separate professionals, we'll work to integrate every aspect of your program to provide a seamless solution.
- Constant insurance review – Your insurance program may involve finite insurance and reinsurance or any other combination of risk-financing methods, and your needs may evolve over time. TMG's professionals will leverage their experience and expertise to monitor your insurance needs and recommend the appropriate insurance structure that will be unique to your situation.
- Expert regulatory compliance – New domiciles are born every year and existing ones regularly change their captive laws. With our years of experience shaping and helping to write captive law, we will help you navigate through what can seem like a maze of regulatory and reporting requirements. Count on TMG to help establish procedures for receipt of payment and premiums, claims, operating accounts and cash management – all within the guidelines of your captive's investment policy.
- Rent-a-captive capacity – When establishing a single parent or group captive isn't appropriate, smaller companies may take advantage of Towner Management's rent-a-captive facilities. St. James Assurance Corporation, an affiliated company of TMG, is a Barbados-licensed insurer and rent-a-captive facility. TMG can access two Cayman-based facilities: Actis, which is suitable for entities making an IRS 953 (d) election, and Galena, which is a non-U.S. taxpayer. While St. James is a separate account company and does not issue any classes of shares to its policyholders, both Actis and Galena are protected cell companies and may issue non-voting shares that participate in, or own all of, their respective cells.
